Terms of Service
Effective
These terms apply to Technic PPF Studio’s website, our online quote and booking tools, and the services we provide. They are written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us before you book.
1.Using this website
Technic PPF Studio (“Technic”, “we”, “us”) operates this website from Bay A, 645 37 Ave NE, Calgary, AB. By using the website or booking with us online, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Anything we agree with you directly for a specific job — for example in a written quote — applies to that job alongside these terms.
2.Our services
We install paint protection film, ceramic coatings, vinyl and colour wraps, window tint and windshield protection film, and provide related preparation such as paint correction. Service descriptions, packages and photos on this website are for general information; the exact work, coverage and products for your vehicle are confirmed in your booking or quote.
3.Quotes and estimates
- Prices shown on the website and estimates given before we see your vehicle are based on the information provided. The final price is confirmed for your vehicle.
- A written quote from us lists what is included and shows the date it is valid until. After that date, contact us for an updated quote.
- Some work depends on your vehicle’s condition — for example, paint correction time depends on your paint — and is confirmed at drop-off.
4.Online bookings and requests
- Some services can be booked online for an available drop-off time. Others are sent to us as a request or quote request. A request is not a booking — nothing is booked until Technic confirms it.
- Online bookings need to be made in advance; if a time is too soon to book online, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
- We may decline or contact you about a booking — for example if the details don’t match the vehicle, the service isn’t right for it, or we cannot fit it in.
- Your confirmation email includes a private link to your booking. Keep it to yourself — anyone with the link can view the booking.
5.Scheduling and timing
Completion and ready times are estimates. Timing can change because of the vehicle’s condition, the extent of the work, product curing, parts or materials, weather, or other jobs. We will let you know when your vehicle is ready.
6.Information you give us
Please give accurate contact and vehicle details and tell us about anything relevant to the work (for example existing damage, recent paint or repairs, aftermarket parts, or previous film or coatings). Quotes, timing and results depend on this information.
7.Your vehicle
- Protection film and coatings preserve the condition of the surface underneath them — they do not repair existing chips, scratches, dents or paint defects unless correction work is part of your service.
- We may inspect and photograph your vehicle at drop-off to record its condition. Please walk around the vehicle with us.
- Please remove valuables, and any toll or parking passes stuck to the windshield, before drop-off.
8.Drop-off and pickup
Please arrive at your drop-off time, with the vehicle washed if possible, and plan for about 10 minutes to go over the vehicle with us. We will tell you when your vehicle is ready and arrange a pickup time with you during our business hours.
9.Pricing, tax and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars. GST is added where applicable.
- Nothing is charged online. Payment is made at the shop, and is due when you pick up your vehicle unless we have agreed otherwise with you.
- We do not currently take deposits. If we ever ask for a deposit for a job, we will tell you the amount and its terms before you pay it.
10.Changes and cancellations
To change or cancel a booking, contact us by phone or email as early as you can. Letting us know ahead of time helps us offer the time to another customer. If we need to reschedule your booking, we will contact you to find a new time.
11.Specialist partners
For some services we may work with a specialist partner. If part of your job is done by a partner, we will tell you. Technic remains your point of contact for the job.
12.Communications
By booking or requesting a quote, you agree that we may contact you by email or phone about your quote, booking and vehicle, including automated confirmations, reminders and status updates. How we handle these communications is described in our Privacy Policy.
13.Warranties
- Films and coatings we install carry the manufacturer’s warranty for that product. Coverage and length depend on the product used and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
- If you have a concern about our installation workmanship, contact us so we can inspect the vehicle and discuss it with you.
- Follow the aftercare instructions we give you — for example, not washing the vehicle for the first few days after installation — as damage caused by not following them may not be covered.
- Nothing in these terms takes away any rights or warranties you have under Alberta consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
14.Responsibility and liability
We take care with every vehicle and are responsible for damage we cause through our own negligence. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
- pre-existing damage or defects, or conditions of the vehicle you did not tell us about;
- delays or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control;
- indirect losses such as loss of use of the vehicle, alternative transportation or lost income.
The website is provided for information and booking. We try to keep it accurate and available, but it may contain errors or be temporarily unavailable.
15.Google integrations for Technic staff
Our internal shop software can connect to Google Calendar and Gmail. These connections are optional, are made only by an authorized Technic administrator who approves Google’s permission request, and can be disconnected at any time. Their use is subject to Google’s own terms and policies and depends on Google’s services being available. How Google data is used is explained in our Privacy Policy.
16.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false bookings, or bookings in someone else’s name without their permission;
- send spam, or upload content that is unlawful, harmful or not yours to share;
- try to access booking links, shop tools or accounts that are not yours, or interfere with the website’s security or operation.
We may refuse or cancel requests, and block access, where these terms are broken.
17.Third-party services and availability
The website relies on services from other companies (for example Google hosting, maps and email, and Instagram for our gallery) and links to their sites. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. Online booking may occasionally be paused or unavailable; you can always contact us directly.
18.Content and trademarks
The content of this website, including text, photos, and the Technic PPF Studio name and logo, belongs to Technic or is used with permission. You may view and share pages for personal use, but not copy or reuse the content commercially without our permission. Product and brand names of manufacturers belong to their owners.
19.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If there is a problem, please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved directly.
20.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last changed. The terms in effect when you book apply to that booking.
